We are looking for committed individuals to teach for three years in select school districts in Florida, Mississippi or South Carolina.
You will receive a full scholarship towards the ABCTE certification program as well as additional support during your transition into teaching. This includes a $1,000 stipend once you begin teaching.

Scholarships are available for:
Biology (6-12)
Chemistry (6-12)
English (7-12) - Mississippi or South Carolina only
General Science (5-9) Florida or (9-12) South Carolina only
Mathematics (6-12)
Physics (6-12)
Special Education (K-6) - Florida only
South Carolina subjects are for grades 9-12 only.
Mississippi subjects are for grades 7-12 only.
Step 3: Get Certified
Once accepted, you will:
Be certified to teach by ABCTE
Your scholarship covers the cost of the ABCTE certification program, which is designed specifically for career changers like you. You must:
Hold a bachelor’s degree
Pass our Professional Teaching Knowledge exam
Pass a subject area exam (in your chosen subject area)
Pass a background check
Study on your own time and at your own pace using our practice tests, online refresher courses and our Prepare to Teach workshops.
Our program is rigorous. However, we want you to succeed and will provide access to guidance and materials that will help prepare you not only for the exams, but for your first classroom as well.
Participate in professional development
Classroom Observations: At least ten hours in local schools. The timeline and location are flexible to work within your schedule
Online Surveys: Share your reflections on the teacher development
Prepare to Teach Workshops: Over 300 pages of content designed to prepare you for the classroom. Each chapter includes video case studies that demonstrate and reinforce the concepts discussed
Complete state licensure requirements
We will help you meet these requirements during your first year of teaching
Step 4: Teach!
You will work in a specific high-need district in Mississippi, Florida, or South Carolina. During your first year, your scholarship provides you with:
ABCTE Mentoring Program
Work with an experienced teacher from your school and/or subject area. Your mentor will observe you in the classroom, provide feedback, and help improve your teaching skills.
Online discussion forums
You can discuss ways to help difficult students, improve lesson plans, get tips on working with parents, and more!
Video Library for Teachers
You will have free access to a library containing real clips of teachers demonstrating classroom management and instructional practices.
